Baird Creek Border Collies
We ship throughout the USA and guarantee dogs via vet health certificate prior to shipment.
Our border collies are bred for their gentle yet athletic nature. As a mother of 5 boys, I wanted to make sure that any dog I brought into the house was kid-friendly and great fun to have around. You can read our happy customers notes to hear more about our border collies.
In most of our photos you will see the dogs being active. They are free to run and play which makes it difficult sometimes to get a perfect shot. The size of the dog also varies but does stay within the AKC standards. Traditionally the Border was "farm stock" quality which meant trim and lower to the ground for faster work between the livestock.
What we recommend....
These are recommendations only by me
on the care of your pup. I am not a vet so please use these as guidelines and please do not
feel you must do all I have done. I will list the things I do for my dogs and the pups and if it is not necessary, I will note optional, otherwise I will just indicate it.
The pups are wormed every week until
2 months, and then I do it every other week until four months. I use Strongaid. I watch
their weight and look in their stools, even have their stools tested
for worms. Most pups have worms, they must be controlled. I do not give them shot/medication for heart or round worms. If you would like to do
that, contact your vet. I do not give rabies/ I can not. The Rabies shot
is concurrent with first 3 vaccinnes. I also do not
give the Bordatella cough shot. My shot schedule is as follows: Parvo
Corona 8 10, 12weeks. I use FRONTLINE for their fleas.
I
use Nutrical to promote strong bone growth along with Pet tabs. I
use Esbalith depending on the age of the pup. I use baby shampoo
for their bathing and flea killing process, rinse very thoroughly
and then lightly apply flea mist. I recommend picking up
the pup approximately 8 weeks. They allowed to be shipped at 9 –12
weeks depending on the airline. I also usewhitener on
their collars called Quicksilver and it can be purchased at a feed
and tack store. Please remember to clip their toenails regularly.
Don't forget to check teeth regularly.

Most important is to check your city regulations on identification. The microchip is your best option. However, many cities require registration fees and special city tags. Your dogs welfare is important!
